Current flight schedule

Kaluga International Airport opened in 2015 after a complete reconstruction. This is an unprecedented project in terms of the pace and volume of construction.

Construction work has been carried out from May 2014 to May 2015. In a short time the runway (length is 2,200 meters, width — 45 meters) and the airport complex were completely reconstructed, an emergency rescue service building, a hangar for business aviation and other airport infrastructure were built, air navigation systems were completely replaced, a system of lighting equipment according to the 1st category of ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) was installed.

In August 2015 the airport received international status. In 2018 it became the "Best Kaluga Brand" and received the award of the Transport Security Association as "An object of transport infrastructure with increased security requirements". In 2019 the airport was named after the founder of cosmism, who lived and worked in Kaluga — K. E. Tsiolkovsky.

The airport is capable of receiving all types of medium-haul aircrafts, including Boeing 737-800 and Airbus A321, as well as all smaller airplanes and helicopters. An important feature of Kaluga International Airport is the availability of infrastructure for business aviation: parking, storage, maintenance.

There are two terminals at the airport — for domestic and international flights. Their total capacity is 350 passengers per hour, which allows to serve flights as quickly as possible and avoid queues.

Kaluga International Airport is a member of ACI Europe and the Association of Civil Aviation Airports. It has been repeatedly recognized as the "Best regional airport with passenger traffic of up to 0.5 million passengers" / "Air Gate of Russia".
